and
(6y+10)
one of the lines is just straight (180) degrees
and the other is just slightly slanted towards the left but its connected to the straingt line
\
\
___________\_____________
(6y-10)degree (6y+10)degree
that is a diagram
when you answer my question plz tell me how to with detailed instructions...i dont want to just know the answer i want to know how to get it
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!!!!I have to find the values of the variables in these two lines that connect together...geometry?
When one straight line stands on another straight line, two angles are formed whose sum is 180 degrees or two right angles.
So we have 6y-10 +6y +10 = 180
12y = 180
y = 15
6y-10 = 80 degrees, and 6y+10 = 100 degrees
If the two angles that are formed are equal to each other, then they both equal 90 degrees and the lines are said to be perpendicular.
