Control of your Heart and other parts?

Is it possible to control your heartbeat with your mind? I mean the brain controls everything in the body right? so we could stop our heart from beating if we knew how to with our brain?





or other parts that are automatic like hair growth, nail growth, etc








Just curious how the brain functions :PControl of your Heart and other parts?
thoughts and emotions are ';in your mind'; and to answer your question these thoughts can change your heart rate.


Relaxing can calm you and reduce your heart rate. Thinking anxious thoughts or something as dreaming a nightmare can indeed increase your heart rate!





The answer is YES!





But can you stop your heart from beating? NO.

Your heart is an autonomic function. While you could force your heart to stop by holding your breathe, as soon as you passed out, you would begin breathing automatically. You can slow your heart rate by deep breathing exercises and mediation! The brain is also autonomic! I mean have you ever tried to stop your brain from working? We really don't have control over it! Unless you put a bullet in it, I guess that's one way to make it stop!! Hair growth, nail growth those sort of things are also automatic! The body produces all sorts of hormones, vitamins and chemicals that cause these things to happen. You could stop them if you deprived the body of certain vitamins for a long enough time period. The body is a wonderful thing, maintained by a very delicate balance!!!
Yes, syou can easily control your heart beat. Try it when you are sitting or lying somewhere quiet. Just concentrate and tell yourself my heartbeat is slow and regular or strong and regular. It is a known fact.


As to nails and hair, they are not instant and so are less likely for you to influence. However you are the master of your body and can virtually make it do anything. However it does take practice and often involves knowing yourself very well and using meditation. It is not a thing you can just ';try'; during a coffee break.
