How do i determine the slope?

It says to determine the slope and y-intercept from the following tables.

here are the points it gives:

(x,y)

0,5 2,9 6,17

I know how to do this when the points are already plotted but i don't know how to with just the points.

Please don't give the answers, just explain to my how I do it?How do i determine the slope?
Slope is (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)= (9-5)/(2-0) = 4/2 = 2

Y-intercept is value of y when x is zero. Also write a point, so (0,5) is y-intercept
