Does any one have tips for learning how to sing screamo?

i really want to learn how to sing screamo but i dont really know how to with out damaging my voice. any tips?? please help!Does any one have tips for learning how to sing screamo?
As said before, it definitely helps if you know how to sing naturally before you start screaming. But even if you want to start with screaming straight away, it's not that hard as long as you pay attention to a few things -





a) Breathe correctly! You need to use your diaphragm, especially in singing. See the resource box for a great tutorial on this.





b) ';Screaming'; in rock music doesn't mean actually ';screaming';. The professionals are so good with it because they know this - the key is to get the same sound without actually being loud, because THAT'S what truly ruins your vocal cords. This can be pretty tricky to achieve if you have no idea where to start. I recommend ';The Zen of Screaming'; DVD by Melissa Cross, you should be able to get it at Amazon.Does any one have tips for learning how to sing screamo?
I wanna do the same thing. I'm really into hardcore music. A lot of ppl think screamo takes no talent and think it sounds bad, but it does take talent. And it's getting more popular, which Is why all that remains hit #7 on the charts. Anyway, I hear u gotta make it come from ur diaphram and to not do it for long periods of time.

lol when im singing screamo i usaly whisper but it sounds cool and if u dont wanna damadge your voice try growling and if u wanna do a raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa scream dont scream just go roaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
